Garlic Loaf Recipe

What a great day to start the meal healthy! Heres a fast and easy healthy Garlic Loaf Recipe:


A loaf of ciabatta ( this type of bread works best)
1/4 cup COCAVO raw extra virgin oil
4 cloves of garlic – crushed


1 Cut the ciabatta loaf into slices 3/4 of the way down, leaving the bottom of the bread intact so that the slices of bread all stay together as a whole.
2 Melt the COCAVO oil (if not already melted) and drizzle between each slice of bread and over the top.
3 Make sure each slice is evenly coated with some oil.
4 Stuff each slice with the crushed garlic cloves, evenly distributing it.
5 Place loaf on a lined baked tray and into a preheated 180C oven for 20-25mins or until crisp. Make sure the top of the bread doesn’t burn, so keep a close eye on this.

Caramelised onion: Makes enough to top bread and have some extra on the side


3 white onions
3 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 Tbsp coconut sugar
2 Tbsp Cocavo raw extra virgin oil
Salt and pepper to season


1 Cut onions into thin slices and place in a pot over medium heat with the COCAVO oil.
2 Sauté onions for 10mins until soft. Add balsamic vinegar, coconut sugar and seasonings.
3 Mix until combined and cook for a further 20mins.
4 You may place the lid of the pot over to speed up the process, just make sure to stir every 2mins to prevent burning.

Toppings :

10 Cherry tomatoes
Handful of basil

Top cooked garlic bread with the caramelised onions, cherry tomatoes and basil. Perfect as a side to a delicious summer BBQ. Enjoy!
